Piedmont Mining Company, Inc. is headquartered in Reno, Nevada and is engaged in exploration for gold and/or silver in the state of Nevada. The Company selects properties which it believes have exceptional potential and options and/or joint ventures them with highly skilled and respected exploration groups. The  Company participates through funding and not by building its own exploration staff, thereby utilizing qualified  people only as needed. Agreements have been signed on six properties: one with the US subsidiary of  AuEx Ventures, Inc., two with the US subsidiary of Gryphon Gold Corporation, one with the US subsidiary of Columbus Gold Corporation, which is utilizing the exploration services of Cordex Exploration Co., and one with Miranda Gold Corp.

Piedmont is exploring for gold and silver only in the state of Nevada because management believes Nevada is the best gold environment in the world - for two reasons.  First, there is a lot of gold in the state of Nevada.  Over 300,000,000 ounces have been discovered to date and more viable gold deposits continue to be found.  Nevada produced about 5.700,000 ounces of gold in 2008.  Second, Nevada is a very favorable and supportive environment for exploration and mining.  There is a good road system, little vegetative cover, no state income taxes, no terrorists, good infrastructure and many large gold mines now operating in the state.

Piedmont has 71,123,643 shares of common stock outstanding, 7,389,000 warrants outstanding, and a $16,000,000 tax loss carryforward.
